188: When resolving an issue with a commit, email notifications are not sent

Description

Whenever I change the state of an issue using the web interface, the emails are sent, whereas if I change the state using the plug-in, the mails are not sent. Is this the expected behaviour?

I have activated the logs and get this trace:

I have been looking at the code and noticed that it could be a problem with authentication as the function auth_is_user_authenticated() in access_has_bug_level() returns false.
