018: Ability for Mantis users to add commit usernames via the "My Account" page

Description

It'd be nice if the source integration plugin could link commit authors to Mantis users via configuration in the 'My Account' page on Mantis.

Or maybe this sort of customization should only be accessible to Mantis administrators (this sounds like it'd be harder to implement)?

This proposal would need to have a configuration threshold so that guests or untrusted users don't abuse the system and pretend to be someone else.

It would also need to ensure that one commit username does not match with more than one Mantis username.

(008) David Hicks (reporter) 2009-04-13 06:37	Just to clarify, this would be best implemented in two locations: manage_user_edit_page.php and account_page.php There would be a threshold level to define who can set their commit usernames. Administrators would be able to override user-set settings from the "Manage Users" page.
