Summary | 209: Setting message_uri to irc:// protocol doesn't seem to work
Description | First of all I want to say a big thank you for znc-notifo. I'm trying to set a message_uri of "irc://domain/{context}/{unixtime}" [^] but when clicking the notification in notifo on iphone it takes me to the built-in browser and doesn't go anywhere. Should znc-notifo support using the irc uri protocol?

Unfortunately, support for the irc:// URI schema must be implemented by the receiving device/application. Ie, it would require that either the Notifo client or Mobile Safari understand that URI's using the irc:// schema should result in launching your device's IRC client. On Android, this can be done by installing an application that declares a system Intent for support handling the irc:// schema, at which point opening the URL from the Notifo client should trigger the IRC client to launch and connect. However, I do not own an iPhone, so I have no idea if this is possible in iOS, or how it would be accomplished. It may require explicit support from the Notifo client, but I'm not certain. |

If I enter the irc://domain/channel [^] uri into mobile safari it does open colloquy. I haven't figured out a way to test what URL notifo receives so I am unsure where the issue is. Maybe it's the built-in notifo browser that's messing things up. |
