209: Setting message_uri to irc:// protocol doesn't seem to work

(295) John Reese (administrator) 2011-05-31 09:19	Unfortunately, support for the irc:// URI schema must be implemented by the receiving device/application. Ie, it would require that either the Notifo client or Mobile Safari understand that URI's using the irc:// schema should result in launching your device's IRC client. On Android, this can be done by installing an application that declares a system Intent for support handling the irc:// schema, at which point opening the URL from the Notifo client should trigger the IRC client to launch and connect. However, I do not own an iPhone, so I have no idea if this is possible in iOS, or how it would be accomplished. It may require explicit support from the Notifo client, but I'm not certain.

(296) Richard Burford (reporter) 2011-05-31 09:25	If I enter the irc://domain/channel [^] uri into mobile safari it does open colloquy. I haven't figured out a way to test what URL notifo receives so I am unsure where the issue is. Maybe it's the built-in notifo browser that's messing things up.
